Calendar Invite Your Response Cannot Be Sent

I keep getting the message calendar invitation response to the invitation cannot be sent ok.

Calendar invite your response cannot be sent. I use an outputstream. You tap ok but a few minutes later this pops up again. Fix did not work.

I hit okay but the message keeps coming back randomly sometimes over and over and sometimes more time between the messages. Apple geniuses could not fix it either. When i receive a calendar invitation when i accept it it would not send the response to the invitation.

When one is using an o365 group through outlook owa and schedules an event on the group calendar there is a checkbox to send a meeting invitation to group members. Although this problem was there for long but for most of the users this problem is occurring after upgrading there iphone to ios 11. As one would expect this sends each member an invitation so they can add it to their own calendar by accepting the invite.
